Erica Xuewei Jiang

Assistant Professor of Finance

About

Erica Xuewei Jiang studies how competition, technology and policy shape financial intermediation and, ultimately, who is served by finance, on what terms and at what risk. She uses novel, granular microdata and both structural and reduced-form methods to quantify competition and interconnectedness between banks and nonbanks. Jiang explores technology’s effects on market structure and the incentives behind risk taking, tracing their consequences for the real economy.
